OUR Team

Jackie Tewes APRN, CNP, MSN is the founder and owner of Flourish Medical + Wellness and is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with over 10 years of experience in medicine. She graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska Medical center and completed her internship at a rural clinic in David City, Nebraska. With a family practice background, Jackie has experience in treating most medical conditions from sinus infections to autoimmune disorders. However, her special interests include wellness, preventative medicine, women’s and men’s health, hormone therapy, and mental health.
Jackie’s practice style is patient-centered and based on patient-provider teamwork. She encourages patients to be active participants in their healthcare decision-making and teaches patients how to advocate for themselves in the medical world. When it comes to healthcare, Jackie believes health is far beyond a medical diagnosis, but rather the combination of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
During her years of clinical practice, she received the Summa Cum Lauda award for patient communication for five consecutive years, which places her in the top 1% of clinicians in the United States. This award represents her patients’ sense as being known, unique individuals, how well they feel listened to, and how well they understand their medications and instructions.
Outside of work, Jackie enjoys spending time with her family, coaching basketball and volleyball, gardening, fishing, and being outdoors. Family and faith are an integral part of her life and the foundation to the care she provides to her patients. She was born and raised in Canada and received her BSC in Nursing from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. An opportunity arose through her husband’s work which would take their family to Minnesota. This gave Heather the opportunity to stay home with their two girls while her husband’s busy schedule had him traveling across the country and overseas. After seven years as a stay-at-home mom, Heather obtained her RN license to practice in Minnesota. She has most recently worked in the Prior Lake school district as a school nurse, but her passion is working with adults as they transition through midlife and all the changes that occur at that stage.
Heather enjoys educating and advocating for preventative health solutions before they become long term health issues.
Heather is passionate about functional fitness, total body wellness and aging healthfully. She practices wellness in her daily life focusing on exercise, eating well, and living a balanced lifestyle. Heather and her family live on Prior Lake and take full advantage of the beautiful Minnesota summers boating and floating in the lake. Winters are spent outdoors running, snowshoeing, and moving enough to stay warm.
